Super Truck Race at JRP

Tulsa, Ok. (August 23, 2008) Tanner makes first Truck series race at JRP Raceway in Tulsa this last weekend.  After qualifying second Tanner made a strong start and after four laps moved into first place after a spin by the previous leader.

Within 20 laps Tanner had a half track lead on the rest of the field.  By lap 22 however a oil leak robbed Tanner's truck of power and he started to fade in the field.  Even with the loss of power, Tanner managed to hold onto the truck and finished third after 50 laps.

"It was like driving on ice" Tanner reported, "we should have had that race in the bag, but with the engine trouble, I did everything I could just to hang in there".

Season Opener at Bolivar

BOLIVAR, MO. (May 16, 2008) Tanner Berryhill nearly increased his winning record with another victory Friday night at the high banked fast 3/8 mile season opener of Bolivar speedway.

The Vision Racing backed development driver, Tanner Berryhill, showed his promise as a future rising star in the upper ranks of racing by showing his ability to race for a victory at a track he had never been on or even seen.

While most of his competitors including the eventual race winner, Tyler Scott, had logged several days of testing at the fast high banked asphalt track, Berryhill raced hard to a second place finish in his qualifying heat with only four laps of practice on the newly un earthed asphalt oval. Starting as the number two qualifier, Berryhill raced eventual race winner, Tyler Scott, hard with pressure from lap one. His race plan was to apply hard pressure on Scott until the final five laps of the race when a lapped car of Phil Harris moved Berryhill high into the third corner allowing Scott to pull away to a six car length lead with four laps remaining. Berryhill showed his muscle by running Scott down on the final lap and making a hard charge on the inside of Scott on the final corner. Making an exciting finish across the line Berryhill came up short by a foot finishing a solid second place.

Vision Racings next entry for Berryhill will be to defend his Lebanon I -44 championship on May 24, 2008.
